Although the Quinceañera ceremony is not a sacrament, it is still very important that Faith Formation be recognized as a major component of this celebration. For this reason, certain preparations are required for a Quinceañera in our parish. In order to schedule a Quinceañera at this parish the following is required:

Aunque la ceremonia de una Quinceañera no es un sacramento, es muy importante que la Formación de Fe sea reconocida como el principal componente de esta celebración. Por esta razón, se requiere cierta preparación para la Quinceañera en esta Parroquia. Para programar una Quinceañera en esta Parroquia se requiere lo siguiente:

La familia necesita ser miembros activos y participantes de la iglesia.

2. You must Ask for an application, after attending the Quinceanera Retreat and provide a copy of the Retreat Certificate, Baptism and First Communion.

Debes Solicitar una solicitud, luego de asistir al Retiro de Quinceañera y aportar copia del Certificado de Retiro, Bautismo y Primera Comunión.

3. The Quinceanera girl, Parents and company must  attend  one of the special Quinceañera Retreats offered four times a year from 2:30 pm to 7:00 pm concluding with the Spanish Mass prior to scheduling a date for the Quinceanera.

La Quinceañera, los padres y la compañía deben asistir a uno de los Retiros especiales de Quinceañera que se ofrecen cuatro veces al año de 3:00 pm a 7:00 pm y concluyen con la Misa en español antes de programar una fecha para la Quinceañera.

4. A non-refundable deposit of $100.00 is required to reserve your space. (This amount will be applied to the total donation of $550.00). The Date of the Quinceañera will not be given until the deposit is received. The balance of $450.00 is due no later than one (1) month prior to the date of the Quinceañeras.

Un depósito no reembolsable de $100.00 es requerido para reservar el espacio. (Esta cantidad será aplicada a la donación total de $550.00) la fecha para la quinceañera no será concedida hasta que el depósito sea recibido. El balance de $450.00 se vence un (1) mes antes de la fecha de la Quinceañera. 

5. Appropriate dress for your Quinceañera: you are expected to dress for the occasion, your dress MUST NOT SHOW BARE SHOULDERS/BACK, MUST NOT be tight fitting, MUST NOT have a plunging neckline, and NO legs should be seen above the knee. This dress code applies to you, your guests, and anyone who comes into our Church. If they are dressed inappropriately, the coordinator or priest may ask them to leave the Church and/or your Mass will be canceled!

Vestido apropiado para tu Quinceañera: se espera que te vistas para la ocasión, tu vestido NO DEBE MOSTRAR LOS HOMBROS/ESPALDA DESNUDOS, NO DEBE ser ajustado, NO DEBE tener un escote pronunciado y NO DEBEN verse piernas por encima de la rodilla. Este código de vestimenta se aplica a usted, a sus invitados y a cualquier persona que entre a nuestra Iglesia. Si están vestidos de manera inapropiada, el coordinador o el sacerdote puede pedirles que abandonen la Iglesia y/o ¡su Misa será cancelada!

6. The young lady must arrive to Church 30 minutes before the ceremony starts; the ceremony will begin on time if no prior notice is given and is at the discretion of the Priest, so please arrive on time.

La joven deberá llegar a la Iglesia 30 minutos antes del inicio de la ceremonia; La ceremonia comenzará a tiempo si no se da aviso previo y queda a discreción del Sacerdote, así que por favor llegue a tiempo.

Regarding the decorations of the church, you are asked to keep it simple. Balloons, tape, staples or anything that may cause damage to the pews is not allowed and must be removed immediately after the ceremony. Photography and video are allowed but should respect the sanctuary at all times and NO FLASH/LIGHTING should be used during photography and video. Mariachi is allowed and is at Quinceañeras’s expense, not the Parish. Please notify the quinceanera coordinator when you have a Mariachi.

En cuanto a los adornos de la Iglesia se pide que sean sencillos. Que no sean ostentosos; no se admiten globos, cinta adhesiva, ni grapas en las bancas. Las decoraciones deben ser removidas inmediatamente después de la celebración. Video y Fotografía están permitidos pero NO DEBEN USAR FLASH O LUZ en la cámara de video o fotografía. La música está incluida en la donación. Mariachi está permitido pero debe notificar a la coorinadora de quinceaneras y es un gasto cubierto por la Quinceañera, no por la Iglesia.

We (the Quinceañera and her Parents) are in agreement with the above requirements for Quinceañera Celebrations at St. Vincent Ferrer Catholic Church and are fully aware that unless we meet these requirements we will not be guaranteed a celebration. 

Nosotros (la Quinceañera y sus Padres) estamos de acuerdo con los requisitos que se piden para tener una celebración de XV años en la Iglesia de San Vicente Ferrer y estamos conscientes de que al no cumplir con estos requisitos, no se nos podrá garantizar la celebración.
